Elementos de la Guardia Nacional fueron desplegados en el Monumento a Lincoln en la ciudad de Washington D.C. durantes el octavo día de protestas en Estados Unidos por la muerte de George Floyd.

La decisión de desplegar tantas tropas en el sitio fue ordenada por el fiscal William P. Barr, según un alto funcionario del Servicio de Parques Nacionales.

En ese mismo lugar Martin Luther King Jr. dio su discurso "I have a dream", en 1963.
